Today, on 21 May 2025, the Acting Minister of Regional Development, Mr. Fikrim Damka, conducted an official visit to the Municipality of Ferizaj, where he was received by the Mayor, Mr. Agim Aliu.

Minister Damka was accompanied during the visit by Deputy Minister, Mr. Elldin Uglari, the Director of DPS, Mrs. Arta Ahmeti Xhylani, the Director of the Department of DRDPC, Mr. Ylber Çitaku, as well as other representatives from the MRD.

Cooperation and support for regional and local development project proposals, with particular emphasis on initiatives that contribute to improving citizens' quality of life and economic development, were discussed during the meeting.

Following the meeting, the delegation visited the proposed project site in the village of Varosh, where the “Development of Tourism Infrastructure” is planned. During the field visit, the Director for Economic Development of the Municipality of Ferizaj, Mr. Balton Dërguti, briefed the Minister in detail about the project, its objectives and its potential for the development of rural tourism and the benefits it provides to the local community.
