On 2 June 2025, the Caretaker Minister of Regional Development, Mr. Fikrim Damka, conducted a working visit to the Municipality of Gjilan, where he was received by the Mayor, Mr. Alban Hyseni, and the Deputy Mayor, Mr. Kadir Hyseni.

The purpose of the visit was to discuss cooperation between the MRD and the Municipality of Gjilan. During the meeting, the progress of ongoing projects, implementation challenges and opportunities for future cooperation were addressed.

The visit was also attended by the Ambassador of Türkiye to Kosovo, Mr. Sabri Tunç Angılı, who expressed support for projects that enhance regional development and strengthen the relationships between local and international institutions.

Following the meeting, the delegation visited the proposed development project locations within the municipality.

Minister Damka was accompanied during the visit by Deputy Minister, Mr. Elldin Uglari, Director of DRDPC, Mr. Ylber Çitaku and other associates from the MRD.
