On 3 June 2025, the Caretaker Minister of Regional Development, Mr. Fikrim Damka, conducted a working visit to the Municipality of Dragash, where he was received by the Mayor, Mr. Bexhet Xheladini.

During the visit, Minister Damka was accompanied by Deputy Minister, Mr. Elldin Uglari, Secretary General of the Ministry of Regional Development, Mr. Besim Kamberaj, Director of DRDPC, Mr. Ylber Çitaku and other representatives from the MRD.

The meeting focused on exploring opportunities to deepen cooperation between the Ministry and the Municipality of Dragash, with particular emphasis on development projects aimed at improving local infrastructure and enhancing the quality of life for the residents of the municipality. Additionally, the parties discussed challenges encountered in the implementation of existing projects and the next steps to be undertaken to ensure their successful implementation.

Following the official meeting, the delegation visited several locations where infrastructure projects are either planned or currently underway, to assess the on-site situation.

This visit reflects the constant commitment of the Ministry of Regional Development to support municipalities across the country by fostering close cooperation for sustainable socio-economic development.
