The Ministry of Regional Development held a one-day workshop today, 16.07.2025, with the aim of presenting the "Implementation of the Work Plan and Challenges of the Regional Development Strategy for 2025".
The workshop was attended by the Acting Minister Mr. Fikrim Damka, Acting Deputy Ministers Mr. Ali Tafarshiku and Mr. Elldin Uglari, Mr. Besim Kamberaj - Secretary General, political advisors to the Minister, Directors of Departments, Heads of Divisions and Special Units and RDM officials.
Initially, Minister Mr. Fikrim Damka expressed his sincere thanks to all employees of the Ministry, for their cooperation and high commitment during this period. He noted the importance of the work done so far, as well as the challenges that remain to be faced continuously. The Minister emphasized that the fulfillment of the work plan for 2025 will require mutual commitment and close cooperation between all departments and divisions of the Ministry. In concluding his speech, Mr. Damka expressed full confidence that, with the dedication and cooperation of all staff, the MRD will manage to achieve its objectives and contribute significantly to the development and progress of regions throughout the country.
The Secretary General, Mr. Besim Kamberaj, presented a summary of the main achievements of the first half of the year, highlighting progress in key sectors of regional development.
Afterwards, representatives of various departments of the ministry presented the achievements and challenges of the results in the areas of European Integration and Policy Coordination, Regional Socio-Economic Planning and Analysis, Regional Development Planning and Coordination, as well as General Services.
The workshop continued with presentations of the achievements of the Human Resources, Budget and Finance, Procurement, Public Communication and Legal Division units, where current challenges and needs for improvements in these sectors were also discussed.
At the end of the workshop, the main points of the plan that require changes were identified and the proposals and challenges of the work process for 2025 were discussed.
