On 29 July 2025, a joint meeting was held between representatives of the Ministry of Regional Development and the University "Haxhi Zeka” in Peja.

The meeting aimed to ensure continuity of the Memorandum of Cooperation signed in June 2023 between the Ministry of Regional Development and the University "Haxhi Zeka”, focusing on the exchange of information and experiences related to regional performance indicators. This represents a significant step toward the advancement of balanced regional development policies and the operationalization of the regional performance evaluation system.

The Ministry of Regional Development highly appreciates the role and expertise of academic institutions in the area of socio-economic analysis, underlining that such cooperation will contribute significantly to deepening knowledge and enhancing approaches toward sustainable and balanced regional development within the country.

The meeting was also attended by the Director of the Department for General Services, Ms. Arta Ahmeti Xhylani, the Director of the Department for Regional Performance and Analysis, Ms. Shyhrete Kastrati, the Head of the Division for Regional Socio-Economic Performance, Ms. Fatmire Thaçi, the Rector of University Haxhi Zeka, Prof. Dr. Armand Krasniqi and the Vice-Rector for Budget, Finance and Infrastructure, Prof. Ass. Dr. Vjosa Hajdari.
