Acting Minister of Regional Development Mr. Fikrim Damka, on August 11, 2025, paid an official visit to Ankara, where he held a series of meetings with senior representatives of Turkish institutions, with the aim of advancing cooperation between Kosovo and Turkey.
Within the framework of these meetings, Minister Mr. Damka met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, Mr. Hakan Fidan, where opportunities for strengthening bilateral relations and advancing joint projects were discussed.
The Minister also held a meeting with the Minister of National Defence, Mr. Yaşar Güler at the Ministry of National Defence, where opportunities for cooperation in the field of security and defence were discussed.
The Minister also met with the President of the Association of Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB), Mr. Abdulhadi Turus. Minister Damka wished him success in his new position and stressed the importance of strengthening inter-institutional cooperation between Kosovo and YTB.
In the continuation of the visit, the Minister also met with the President of TİKA, Mr. Abdullah Eren, and with the Deputy President of TİKA, Dr. Mahmut Çevik. In these meetings, projects aimed at strengthening friendship and cooperation between Kosovo and Turkey, as well as TİKA's activities in Kosovo, were discussed.
Minister Mr. Damka highly appreciated the commitment of Turkish institutions and expressed confidence that these relations will continue to develop for the benefit of both countries and their citizens.
