The aim of the workshop was to strengthen local and regional capacities for subsidy management, support small and medium-sized enterprises as an engine of economic development, increase employment and create a more favourable environment for investment and sustainable development in the region.

During the two days of the workshop, best practices in subsidy management, challenges faced by local institutions and ways to improve support for small and medium-sized businesses were discussed. This activity also provided a platform for exchange of experiences and discussions on regional development policies, aiming to increase institutional capacities and contribute to balanced socio-economic development at the regional level.

The workshop was attended by Mrs. Refike Sülçevsi - Acting Secretary General of the MRD, Mr. Agim Zeka - Executive Director of the RDA East as well as other representatives from the MRD, RDA and municipalities of the East region.
