On September 25, 2025, the Regional Development Agency South, with the support of the Ministry of Regional Development, organized in Prizren the workshop on the “Impact of digital tools on transparency and accountability and the presentation of the Kosovo-Albania Cross-Border Cooperation Programme, funded by the IPA III 2021-2027 programme”.

The purpose of the workshop was to identify the level of knowledge of citizens and official state personnel regarding information technology, as well as to present statistics on the use of these tools in general by the citizens of Kosovo and in particular by governmental and non-governmental institutions.

In addition to the representatives of RDA South, representatives of the municipalities of this region also participated in the workshop. Statistics were presented showing the impact of digital transformation on governance, transparency and public accountability in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia, for the period from 2010 to the present day.

The participants were also informed about the Kosovo - Albania Cross-Border Cooperation Programme, financed by the IPA III 2021 - 2027 programme, and the possible lots of this programme:

• Priority 1: Environmental protection, promotion of climate change adaptation and mitigation, risk prevention and management.

• Priority 2: Boosting tourism and promoting cultural and natural heritage.

In the capacity of an observer from the Ministry of Regional Development, Mr. Shani Hamitaga, Head of the Division for Regional Initiatives at the MRD also attended the workshop.
