From October 30 and 31, 2025, the 4th International Congress on Finance, Economy and Sustainable Policies (ICOFESP), organized by the University "Kirklareli" -Turkey in cooperation with the University of Prishtina "Hasan Prishtina" and supported by the Ministry of Regional Development (MRD), has started its work.
This international congress aims to strengthen academic exchange and international cooperation in the areas of global economic development, financial stability and sustainable policies, contributing to the creation of new models for sustainable development and inclusive growth.
The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of public, academic and diplomatic institutions from Kosovo, Turkey and other countries of the region.
In his welcoming speech, the Minister of Regional Development Mr. Fikrim Damka stressed the importance that institutional and academic cooperation has for the advancement of regional development, emphasizing that only through the coordination of knowledge, innovation and sustainable policies can balanced economic and social development be achieved.
At the opening of the conference, the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Kosovo, Mr. Sabri Tunç Angılı, also delivered a welcoming speech, who congratulated the organizers for this important initiative and underlined the excellent relations between Kosovo and Turkey in the field of education and scientific research.
Remarks on this occasion were also delivered by the Rector of the University of Pristina “Hasan Prishtina”, Phd. Prof. Arben Hajrullahu, Rector of Kirklareli University, Phd. Prof. Rengin Ak, Phd. Prof. Jusuf Zejneli, Rector of the University of Tetova, Phd. Prof. Nurten Deva, Rector of the University of Mitrovica “Isa Boletini”, Phd. Prof. Kenan Peker – Rector of the University “Munzur”, Phd. Prof. Ali Güneş, Rector of the University of New York in Tirana, Phd. Refike Sülçevsi, Acting Secretary General of the RDF, Mr. Agim Zeka, Director of the RDF-East Agency, Mr. Ylber Çitaku, Director of the DPKZHR, Phd. Prof. Sokol Krasniqi, University of Applied Sciences Ferizaj, Mr. Fisnik Reçica, Director of the Swisscontact office in Kosovo, Asc. Prof. Juna Miluka, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, New York University, Tirana, who reiterated the importance of developing sustainable partnerships between universities and public institutions.
During the two days of work, participants from different academic fields will present scientific papers and analyses that address important topics such as regional development, innovation, economic and environmental sustainability, as well as regional integration policies.
